Abstract: Folk songs and proverbs were prosperous in the Han Dynasty, presented both in quantity and category. Contents of them included politics, economics and philosophy. They had strong expression power and various styles. Through them we can get customs and habits of the Han Dynasty. The folk songs and proverbs of the Han Dynasty laid the foundation of proverbs art. They had great influence on scholars'literary at that time and later. These reflect the importance of research on folk songs and proverbs in Han dynasty.
