大学英语教材课文导读的人际意义研究—基于《新风尚大学实用英语综合教程》导读语篇的分析

Interpersonal Meanings in Text Introductions in College English Textbooks —A Case Study of Text Introductions in New Vogue College Practical English

  • 摘要: 大学英语教材的课文导读语篇是教材编者与学习者进行交流的平台。本文在Halliday的系统功能语言学框架中, 对《新风尚大学实用英语综合教程》的课文导读语篇所体现的人际意义进行了分析。分析表明, 课文导读中所体现的人际意义是为语篇的功能和目的服务的, 其提供信息、对话协商和劝说学习者的主要功能决定了编者对语气类型和情态表达方式的选择。

     

    Abstract: Text introductions in college English textbooks are interactive platforms between compilers and learners.This paper probes into the interpersonal meanings realized in text introductions in New Vogue College Practical English on the basis of Hallidayan Systemic Functional Linguistics.The study shows that interpersonal meanings in text introductions serve for functions the discourses are meant to perform:the informational function, the negotiating function and the persuasive function, which determine compilers' selection of mood type, modality type, modality orientation and modality value.
