Abstract: Adverb is one of the most important and also the most divergent parts of speech in Chinese.The research on adverbs shares a history of over one hundred years, ranging from individual to overall development.And the research methods combine the traditional exegesis model with the western language theories.The fundamental problems of adverbs have been solved to a certain extent in the long course of study.At the same time, the new dimension and space got great development within this research, resulting in diversified trend, which becomes an encouraging phenomenon in current research on adverbs.
