Abstract: The orientation of cultural tradition seems to be of little importance. But it is actually related to the vitality of indigenous psychology. Simultaneously it also is related to how to develop Chinese indigenous psychology. Previous researchers either paid too much attention to national tradition studies, not concerning much with the trivial/local tradition studies, with no definite theoretical consciousness about the relationship between Chinese indigenous psychology and trivial/local tradition. However, only if Chinese indigenous psychology has definite consciousness about the trivial/local tradition, can the new life of Chinese indigenous psychology be born.
