框架语义学视角下的文化词语译义研究——以“希腊十二主神”为例

On the Translation of Cultural Words in Bilingual Dictionaries from Frame Semantics—Case Study on the Translation of "the Twelve Olympians of Greek Mythology"

摘要: 通过对比发现，《英汉大词典》、《新英汉词典》和《英华大词典》对希腊十二主神文化词的译义有待改进。本文基于框架语义学，提出新的“十二主神”的译义模式，即学科标注“希神”、音译兼义译、括注，并对括注信息作统一编排，这有助于词典使用者对“十二主神”的译义形成语义联系，满足其认知需要。“希腊十二主神”的译义研究表明，框架语义学对双语词典中文化词语的译义具有指导意义。

Abstract: The survey on three popular bilingual dictionaries reveals that there is still room for improvement in the definition of the Twelve Olympians of Greek mythology. From the aspect of Frame Semantics, the paper proposes a new model of translations for the Twelve Olympians and rearranges the annotations in a systematic manner, which helps readers to have a better understanding of them. The case study proves that Frame Semantics plays a guiding role in the translation of cultural words in bilingual dictionaries.
