Abstract: Scholars have paid more attention to the source of the Sanxingdui culture and the origin of the ancient Shu civilization, while the Baodun culture and Yingpanshan culture having beening found in recent years. The archaeological materials and the historical documents make the acceleration of "Root-seeking" for the ancient Shu culture. In the paper, "the origin of the ancient Shu State" specifically refers to the origin and ethnicity of Shu's civilization before the period of the Sanxingdui cultural (except for the first phase of Sanxingdui cultural relics).Its key is to explore the "source" or "relationship inheritance".
