On the Allusion of Passed the Imperial Examinations

  • 摘要: 科举考试兴盛于唐宋时期,开通了平民入仕的道路。读书人期待一举成名天下知,创造了一些雅致的表示科举及第的词汇。这些词汇有的出自《尚书》,有的来源于《庄子》和其他古代诗文。本文以时代为线索,对这些典故词进行了初步分析。了解这些词汇的来源,有助于我们更好地理解古代文献,进一步探求科举文化的内涵。

     

    Abstract: The Imperial Examinations got prosperousness in Tang and Song Dynasties. It was a way for common people to enter political stratum. Scholars hope to be known by all the people by the means of the imperial examinations, they created some gentle vocabularies which represent passed the imperial examinations. Some vocabularies originated from Shang Shu, some originated from Zhuang Zi and ancient poems. These appeared different age allusions can be roughly divided into four periods: the Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties, the Han Wei and Six Dynasties, Tang Dynasty, song Dynasty. To understand the origin of these words will help us to understand of the ancient literature and exploring the meaning of imperial examination culture.
